We’re proud to announce that Harmen has been recognized on the global stage, winning an International Design Award (IDA) for our Belvedere Project in Oakville. This award, presented by one of the world’s most respected design competitions, celebrates creativity, excellence, and innovation in architecture and design.
The Belvedere Project was designed with a simple but powerful goal: to create a home that feels as good as it looks. Every space was tailored to reflect the lifestyle of the family who lives there—elegant, personal, and effortlessly livable. Natural light, warm materials, and custom details flow through the home, making every moment in the space feel intentional.
Winning the IDA Honorable Mention in the Interior Design / Residential category places this project alongside some of the most inspiring residential designs internationally. It’s a proud moment for us—but more importantly, it’s a celebration of collaboration and trust between our team, our build partners, and most of all, our incredible clients.
From the very first meeting, the homeowners brought energy, trust, and vision to the process. Their openness to ideas, attention to detail, and commitment to thoughtful design made this project what it is. This wasn’t just about designing a beautiful home—it was about creating a space that truly fits their everyday life.
The Belvedere home brings together tailored living spaces, cozy corners, and functional design, from a custom study nook bathed in natural light to open-plan living areas that balance elegance and comfort. It’s a home designed not just for special occasions, but for the beautiful rhythm of daily living.
